Muntajat’s commitment to the global Waste Free Environment Campaign 2016 spans multiple continents. Muntajat’s international marketing arm, Muntajat BV, joined this important initiative to carry the message of environmental preservation to UAE, India, and Netherlands last month.
In the UAE, the entire Muntajat BV team joined head organiser, Gulf Petrochemical and Chemical Association (GPCA), and local schools in a beach clean-up in Dubai on the 11 February.
In India, the Muntajat BV Mumbai office organised and led a WFE Day activity: a clean up of the Aarey colony Goregaon Forest area on the 21st of February. The event brought together more than 120 participants, including students from IQRA English School Mumbai, staff from the Forest Department, and Muntajat BV Mumbai employees accompanied by their family members. Participants collected 30 bags of waste weighing 600 KG that were handed over to the Forest Department for recycling.
Employees in the network’s headquarter, located in The Hague, Netherlands, also joined the campaign to help raise awareness on environmental behavior. Staff members educated children ranging from 3 years to 9 years on the benefits of plastics and recycling at a local sports club. After concluding the education session, participants collected and recycled waste from the grounds, and placed waste bins for plastics and packaging waste strategically around the facility.
